About the project

How the project works

Treasure is an interdisciplinary visual project that combines moving image, photography and graphic narrative. The black-and-white film is built around the feeling of the sea, the wind and the light, creating a space of mystery while avoiding excessive realism.

Colour returns in the photography and the graphic narrative, opening up new shades of perception. Painted in oil, the story continues the film, bringing together elements of photography, animation and cinema.

Behind the succession of frames — a film as brief as a fleeting scene glimpsed through a window, and the pages of a comic — comes the sense that something once hidden is becoming visible.

Video art and photography

Video art. A black-and-white film, as short as a scene glimpsed through a window: the splash of waves and the cries of gulls, footsteps on wet sand, a figure in a yellow coat. The short film Treasure took on a festival life of its own, appearing in video-art programs and international screenings.

Behind the succession of colour images comes the sense that something once hidden is becoming visible. The photographic part continues the story of the choice between the material and the authentic, preserving the film’s atmosphere and unfolding it through the still image.
